Okay, so I’m a little late on posting my LOs. If life could get anymore busy, I’d think I’d lose my mind. I’m trying to slow down, but it’s very difficult. Why do I have to be a go getter? LOL

Here are my LOs -

It's a new season for the Amazing Digiscrapping Race. I have completed the first 5 Challenges. Yes, I said 5. It’s taken me that long to post them. LOL

The first challenge was to do a layout about your partner while also scraplifting a layout of your partners. The bottom layout is my LO about Patricia. I did a very simple LO, but I think it’s beautiful, just like her. For this LO, I used Estranged by Flergs. I lifted this LO by Patricia.

The second challenge was to create a layout with 5 photos. One photo must contain the number 5. The theme of the layout is 5 Things I Love About... I chose my teaching. In addition to 5 photos, we have to use 5 different fonts/alphas and include 5 of the same element types. Mine has 5 stitches.

Challenge 3 was to create a layout with selective coloring of a photo, journaling with at least 20 words and a date element. You can't just put the date on the layout, you have to actually use an element to create the date. The photo I used is one that I took while Cayden was having a play in the rain day. There were a couple weeks where it rained EVERYDAY here in Austin. I finally gave in and let him play in the rain. The kit I used is Rolicking by Lliella Designs. I used a date stamp for my date element. It’s a freebie by Jenn.

Challenge 4. When I first saw what it was, my response to Patricia was, “ICK!” Challenge 4 is to create Artist Trading Cards. I really don’t care for ATC because many of them are ephemera type layouts. I’m just not really into that type of scrapping. To be honest with you, I think they are weird and don’t understand the point of them. But like Patricia mentioned, it seemed the only thing that was going to make these ATC was the size, which had to be 3.5x2.5. Each of use have to do 2 cards. One card needed to be about something we love & the other card needed to be about our partner. Both LOs were created with Estranged by Flergs. The cross is by Beth Turner.

Challenge 5

The challenge is as follows: Since this is the month of Valentine's Day, your special challenge is to incorporate CHOCOLATE into your layout. So, 6 items in the recipe and chocolate!

For this LO I used Choco Berry Love Reload by Flergs. And I have 2+ papers, 2 frames, 1 button, Flowers, a ribbon/bow, a tag, and a chocolate covered strawberry.

Challenge 6 was to be completed by only one of us. I let Patricia do it. LOL – Thanks, Patricia!! :) She did an awesome job. I’ll let her post all about it!

Challenge 5

Here is my layout for challenge 5. The challenge was posted at Pretty Scraps. The challenge is as follows: Since this is the month of Valentine's Day, your special challenge is to incorporate CHOCOLATE into your layout. So, 6 items in the recipe and chocolate!

I actually have 7 items from the list-ribbon, button, 2 (or more)papers, flower, stitching, tag and alpha. The challenge layout isn't up yet, so here is the credits for my layout: Sugar Baby by Valorie Brown Designs, Alpha Fill a bit Heart by Sherri Teirney, flower made by me from a template by Christy Haig, stitches made by me from Atomic Cupcake action, font franciscan. The photo is my husband and me. We will celebrate our 19th anniversary this summer. It's been 19 very happy years. We don't have near enough pictures taken together. I'm always the one behind the camera.

Challenge 4

I will be the first to admit that I wasn't thrilled about challenge 4. I started to freak just a little bit before I finished reading the requirements, but then calmed down. Challenge 4 is to create Artist Trading Cards. I started to freak because most ATC are ephemera type layouts. I don't have anything like that. As I read further, it seemed the only thing that was going to make these ATC was the size, which had to be 3.5x2.5. I can manage that. Each of use have to do 2 cards. One card needed to be about a loved one and the other card needed to be about our partner. We have already done a layout about are partner, so this part is a little redundant and the challenge creators have taken a lot of flack for this. Oh well. At least I already had the photo, so I could get started. Here are my 2 layouts. The top one is about Rose and the bottom one is my husband and I at our Valentines day dinner that actually took place on the 13th (we don't go out to eat on the sabbath) at Joe's Crab Shack. I used the same kit for both of these layouts. It's called Our Story by Armina Designs, but I don't remember where I bought it. The font I used is called Fiolex Girls. Our ATCs have to be made into a single page and uploaded together, so now I just have to wait for Rose to finish so I can upload our cards together.

Challenge 3

This is a photo of my son, Jeremy, that was taken at the Bob Bullock museum when my dad was here last month. He is in color while the background is in black and white. Season 5 begins

It's a new season for the Amazing Digiscrapping Race. I have completed the first 2 challenges. The first challenge was to do a layout about your partner while also scraplifting a layout of your partners. The bottom layout is my LO about Rose. I just stated how we met. We met a few years ago at Make It Scrappy. We were both on creative teams there. Later, we started designing for the same scrapbooking site. We live only a few miles away from each other. This is our 3rd year doing ADSR. The credits for the layout have a link to Rose's LO that I scraplifted.

The second challenge was to create a layout with 5 photos. One photo must contain the number 5. The theme of the layout is 5 Things I Love About... I chose my family. In addition to 5 photos, we have to use 5 different fonts/alphas and include 5 of the same element types. Mine has 5 flowers.

Week one is done, now on to week 2.

Here is our final challenge. This is an optional challenge 13. Our layouts had to coordinate so that they can be put together and be a 2 pager. We used one of the kits we got as a gift during the Race called Spring Fling from Elemental Scraps. The top layout is the left side and the bottom one is the right side. I did the left and Rose did the right. You can find the credits for this layout here and here.

Challenge 11

I am only missing one other challenge and that is challenge 11. We could only use one photo and out journaling could only be a single question. I can't remember if there were any other requirements such as for elements. Here is my layout. I used a charity kit for this layout called For Unto Us benefiting Dex and Crew, little preemie babies. Dex didn't make it and Crew was just discharged from the NICU last week.

Challenge 12 was one that we were suppose to do together. Rose was an angel and did the entire layout except for my journaling and my photo. My MIL passed away last Monday so I spent all of last week dealing with funeral and family, etc. Thank you Rose. We were given the word art "We are Storytellers". We had to journal about that topic and include our own photos. I don't have many photos of me since I am the one behind the camera most of the time.

I'm really behind in putting these layouts on our blog. I just keep forgetting about the blog. I'll be catching everything up soon, but they will probably be all out of order.

Challenges 7-11

Wow. I've been really behind on keeping up with this blog. Life has really taken a turn in the McIntyre house and computer time is just not a priority. Family time is, but I committed to finishing the race and so that's what I'm going to do. Of course, I've loved every minute of it. Patricia is an AMAZING partner. My prayers are with her and her family as they lost a dear loved one this week.

For the 7th challenge, we were given this adorable kit at Sunshine Studios. We had to use everything in the kit at least once. We were not limited to just this kit so I chose to use Victorian Strawberry by Studio Flergs and Kaye Winiecki.
For challenge 8, we were to play "Scrap Idol" choosing our favorite scrapper to lift a LO. One of my favorite scrapper's is Flergs so I chose to lift her 1st Birthday LO. We did have to include 2 specific things in our LO, flowers and the word dream. This part was a little tricky for me, but I was able to make it work with the following LO. Of course, since I'm new to Flergs's Creative Team, I had to use her Victorian Strawberry kit again since I am totally in love with it.

Our 9th challenge was to create a layout with photos representing multiple generations. The photo I used is one taken in 2005 when my grandmother came to visit us. It is one of my favorite photos of all 4 generations of Wood/Breakiron women. Part of the challenge including using 1 lace element, a metal element, a flower and a vintage element. The kit I chose to work with is Generations by SeAScrApS. I did use Misty Cato's Date Bits to date the layout.

Challenge 10 was a ROADBLOCK/INTERSECTION . This was a collaborative challenge where the person who did not complete the last ROADBLOCK/INTERSECTION. It was my job to interview Patricia, asking at least 5 questions and to create a LO. I chose to ask her about movies. I thought it would be a unique take on the challenge as well as get our Mega Kit at Groovy Scraps, Let's Go to the Movies some "airtime." Part of the challenge was to only use material from 2 designers, so I was able to pick and choose 2 designers from the Mega Kit. I choose to use parts from BiebelScraps and Darhena Design. We were also to pick 2 colors to be our main colors and only accent the LO with other colors. Here's what I came up with for the LO:

And finally, Challenge #11 - If we could ask anyone one question, what would that question be? The catch - we can't answer the question. The LO had to include ONLY one photo and the only journaling/title on the LO could be the question. Of course, just recently, my kids started asking about our lost dog, Sparky, who got out last August. The fact that they still talk about him breaks my heart, so I put together this LO, using Decaon's Closet RELOADED by Flergs.

Challenge 12 is a collab challenge. I've done my part and have sent it to Patricia to finish it. And of course, I'm sure there will be a twist throw into the race tomorrow as we anticipate the end of Season 4.

Here is my challenge 8 layout. We had to scrap lift our "idol". I don't really have a scrapping idol, but when I was doing layout of the week at Scraphead, there were always 2 women who had amazing layouts. The layout I scraplifted is called Watermelon done my His over at Scraphead. You can find the credits for the layout here.

The 9th challenge was to make a layout with photos representing multiple generations. Here are some photos of my daughter with her grandmothers and great grand mothers. We had to use 1 lace element, a metal element, a flower and a vintage element. The kit I used was called Alta. It is my own kit available at Groovy Scraps. The vase was a photo that I just extracted to use for this layout.

For the 7th challenge, we were given this adorable kit at Sunshine Studios. We had to use everything in the kit at least once, but we could recolor the kit if we wanted to. I had no reason to recolor it because these are some of my favorite colors. We were allowed to use things from other kits as well. I created the stitches used to stitch the button down and the photo mask around the top photo was from Kim Cameron. The rest came from the kit they provided.

Challenges 5 & 6

So here we are at Challenges 5 & 6. Challenge 5 was a little difficult for me. Challenge 6 was optional. In fact, I wasn't really supposed to do the LO, but I did. Hehehehe. Of course, I'm not posting my LO in our Team LOs Thread at NDISB so I know I'm safe.

Here's challenge #5. It was hosted at Anita Stergiou Designs. For this challenge, we were to create LO that had no photos but included 3 different and separate frames and some journaling. Here's what I came up with for this challenge. Make sure you click on the LO for full credits.

And Challenge 6 is at Inspiration Lane. It's a ROADBLOCK so only one of us was to complete the challenge. We were challenged to find a LO in our partner's gallery and flip it 90 degrees and then lift it. The only catch was that we were to use the same number of elements - no more, no less as our partner did in her original LO.

Challenge 3 and 4

I keep forgetting to post my layouts on our team blog, so I have 2 layouts to post today. I figured I would get that done while I wait for them to post the 5th challenge. I was hoping to do the 5th challenge this afternoon, but it still isn't posted anywhere and it is now 7pm.

Challenge 3 was to redo the first layout we had posted into a gallery. I went through all of my galleries to find a layout I wanted to redo. I couldn't get my EHD to read, which completely freaked me but that is another story, so I picked a layout in which I had photos from on my computer. That left this layout, which is posted here at Scrapper's Zone, to redo. This is a layout of my son's 6th birthday along with his cousin Jacob.

The next layout was to be an altered art layout. My altered art is the action I ran on the photo to make it look like it was an old photo mounted on canvas. We were to have some journaling from the heart. My journaling is about my MIL. She is dying from breast cancer that has spread to her brain. Her time is very short. It has been a lot to deal with lately. I feel fortunate to have digi scrapping to help me cope with the stress .

Challenges 3 &4

Challenge 3 was at Gotta Pixel. For this LO we were asked to take our very first LO posted in a single gallery and scraplift it using what we've learned in our scrapping journey. What's amazing is that created my very first digital LO nearly 3 years ago. Of course, the site that I posted it at is no longer around so I was not able to scraplift that LO. But I did get to scraplift a very sweet LO from 2 1/2 years ago. Here's my original LO:

And my LO for Challenge #4. This one was very difficult for me! Tangie Baxter Creative hosted the challenge and boy was it difficult. We had to create a LO using an "Altered/Artistic Style." And then journal from the soul. The journaling wasn't difficult for me, but the altered style was a bit of a challenge.

Challenge 2

This was a collaborative layout. We had to use the theme "Cabin Fever". Our layout had to have 4 papers, 8 elements with at least one being acrylic, 2 fonts, include journaling and half done by each partner. We used the Winter Cottage collaborative kit available at Groovy Scraps. We both design there so we both had access to the kit. We took a different approach to cabin fever. My kids rarely experience cabin fever since we are blessed to live in such a great city and we have so much good weather here. Our layout is entitled "We can't get no cabin fever" and show pictures of things we can do around Austin. I hope you enjoy our take on this challenge.

I completely forgot to post my challenge 1 LO here. It has been a busy week. Here is my week 1 layout. I'll be back later today to post my week 2 LO. My week 1 layout is my boys being totally goofy. It was the best photo I had to "tear" up. Andrew almost looks like he is being torn apart with that face he is making. For credits, you can see my gallery (link on the side).

ADSR4 - Challenge #1

The race is underway. I'm looking forward to actually making time to scrap during this season. Patricia and I are both excited about working together again.

Our first challenge was to include in our layout a photo that we "tear" three times. This was a little bit of a challenge for because I don't take many photos that leave room for this sort of cropping. But today, I took a fun photo, and I feel it was perfect for this challenge.

We also were asked to journal on our layouts, so that's what I did.

For this LO, I used Claudi Designs' new kit, This Boy.
I also used a template from the SSD Cookie Exchange.

Challenge #12 - For Blog's Sake

Here's our finaly ADSR Season 3 LO. I can't believe it's over. Wow! And what I challenge it has been. I've really enjoyed every step of the way. I've enjoyed getting to know Patricia - and we actually met yesterday! She brought her children over, and her oldest son, Andrew (10), mowed our lawn!!! His handywork made for an extra nice photo for this last LO.

The challenge was for us to team up. One member was to provide the photos and journaling. The other was to create a LO from said photos and journaling. We had to scrap about one of the biggest accomplishments we have had in our lives. The topic I chose to journal about was the purchase of our new home. She did send it to me so I could put the journaling in my handwriting. The LO we posted for the challenge is a little different.

I can't believe this is the second to the last layout of the race. This has been so much fun. I can't wait to do it again. I took these pictures on Thursday when we went to the Blue Bell factory with our family here from Idaho Falls. We had a great time. I took tons of pictures. This one is my daughter with my nieces. My daughter is the one sitting down. She commented that they looked like they were in a gang. I didn't want to do a LO that made the girls look like they were wearing the wings. The main reason for that was because my daughter was completely opposed to looking like a fairy. I thought it would have been cute though. I will settle for the butterfly and the 2 lady bugs. There is also a butterfly on my nieces shirt.

Challenge 10

Only one of us had to do challenge 10. The scrapper that didn't do challenge 6 had to do this challenge. Since Rose's challenge ended up being our official challenge LO for challenge 6, this one was mine to do. The challenge was that we had to do a LO with at least 50 different elements by at least 10 different designers. We could not use the same element multiple times and have it count for one of our 50 elements. If we used it more than once, it only counted once. We also had to journal about our biggest fears, deepest desires, or wildest wishes. The credits for this LO are very long and you can find the here.

Challenge 9

Rose gave you the run down for challenge 9. This challenge was hard. I have never done any kind of altered art. I did some setting up for the photos I used for this LO. The BG paper and the lamp are from Tina William's kit Grandpa's Den. I downloaded the paintings from various web sites. I created the "zap" painting in Art Rage. I used some actions from Action Fx to age the photos of my kids and of the book. This does not look like I have envisioned in my head. If you can't tell, it is suppose to be set up like a pop up book. My kids don't look like they are looking at the painting. The line down the middle of the page was suppose to look like a corner of a room, but I don't think it looks right either. If anyone reading this blog has any ideas of how I can make this look more real, I am all ears. Please leave a comment. The quote is from Jackson Pollock, who happens to be my daughters favorite artist. It says "It doesn't matter how the paint is put on, as long as something is said". As I look at the quote on the layout, I realize I have a typo. Oh well.

4 Wheeler

I actually finished this LO yesterday, but then got busy and didn't get a chance to post it here. We haven't had a family vacation in 4 years. How sad is that. In 2004, we went to Disneyland for Rachael's dance troupe. She performed in Disneyland and then we spent a few days playing around there. After that, we drove to Idaho and spend a week with my dad. They remember more about the trip to Idaho than they do the trip to Disney. Their favorite part of the trip was riding the 4 wheelers. Jeremy was only 2 1/2 and he still remembers them. We are going again this summer and he can't wait to ride the 4 wheelers again.

Challenge Number 8

This was the challenge:

Scrap about your most memorable vacation or trip. It can be memorable for being everything you dreamed of, like your honeymoon or that magical Disney cruise, or it can be memorable because the airlines lost your luggage, the car rental place gave you a car that broke down on the way to the hotel that gave your room away to someone else because you were late checking in and the only room they have left is the one next to the ice machine and it's making noise all night long.

And because we love a good challenge, here are your restrictions:

1) Use only B&W Photo(s)

2) Do not use any travel themed elements or papers (i.e planes, trains or automobiles, postcards, etc.)

3) Use only ONE word as your title

4) You must incorporate the lyrics to some song in your journaling somehow. You don't have to include the whole song, just a line or even a few words. Just let us know what song it is in your credits.

Part 2 of the challenge

Here is the second part of the challenge. I think Rose got the easier part of this one. That is OK. She took the hard part of the challenge featuring our UT tower pictures. Her layout below looks great. I really enjoyed this challenge. It was harder than anything we have done so far, but it was fun.

Here is what my part of the challenge was: Also using the correct number of items listed below, you must scrap using NO MORE than 2 items from the same designer. You will need to use many different designers for this layout. This layout needs to be done in a CLEAN style. Use of negative space is important however you will still need to use all of items listed below in the correct number assigned, so plan carefully.

1 - photo matte
2 - staples
3 - pictures
4 - stitches
5 - random elements of choice
6 - flowers/stars/cardboard pieces
7 - papers (may be pieced) - your photo matte is NOT included in this count.
8 - buttons
9 - glitter/gems/sequins or bling pieces
10 -no less than 10 lines of journaling (may be more but no less)

Journaling: In this layout we are asking you to write a letter to your 16-17 year old self. As an adult now, give yourself advice on things you remember happening during this time or shortly after that would have been beneficial THEN. You may include information about your family and situations now to inspire hope.

Sorry that the picture is turning out so small. It is a double page layout and I put it all on one page to help it flow better. I designed it as if it is the inside of a card that has been stitched together with the stitching in the center of the LO. Here is my credit list and journaling.

I know things seem really hard right now. I know it seems like you will never be happy. There is so much happiness in your future. You get married in the Dallas temple to the most wonderful man. You have been married almost 17 years. You have 3 wonderful, amazing children. There have been ups and downs along the way. I am happy to tell you there are more ups than downs. You will be happy, I promise. The world is a better place because you are here.

Team Member #1 - ONE DESIGNER - MESSY - No JournalingUsing the correct number of items as listed below, you must scrap using only ONE designers products. Pick your designer carefully and make sure they have all of the things listed on the list below, remember only ONE designer. Scrap and flip

Challenge #6 was for one of the partners to scrap lift one of the other partners LO. This wasn't to be a normal scrap lift though. We were to take the LO and flip it around in some way. We also had to scrap about the opposite subject. I love this LO of Roses. I love the composition and the photos are too cute. This is a LO of a photo shoot of Hannah. You can find the credits here.

I took random pictures from my daughters week at girls' camp to do my scrap lift. Credits can be found here.

Even though only one of us has to do this challenge, both of us wanted to do it. Rose has done a scrap lift of one of my layouts. I hope she posts it on the blog so everyone can see it. We will see you at the next challenge.

Mr Scale

I'm sorry you are sick Rose. I hope you feel better. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

Here is my LO for challenge #5. I did an interview with the scale. Before I finished it, I noticed that someone else is doing a scale LO for this challenge. I wanted to do it more like a reporter and not like a woman wanting to know why her scale isn't telling her what she wants to hear. In real life, I am the latter, but I did my layout as the first.

Here is my interview with the scale.

Q: So what is it like being hated by so many women all over the world?
A: It is hard sometimes. I try not to let it get to me though.
Q: Do you have any plans to reform so you aren't so hated?
A: I don't think it would do any good. I will probably be hated no matter what.
Q:Women are always claiming you are broken. How do you respond to that?
A: They can say what they want. It doesn't mean it is true. I know I am not broken and that is what is important
Q: What advise do you have for those wanting to get into the scale business?
A: Be tough and be strong. You will take a lot of emotional and physical abuse.

Challenge #5 - My Blankie/Her Ba-Ba

Here's my LO for Challenge #5. I've been home sick with a sinus infection so I had lots of time to myself as Stephen took the kids to lunch with Grandma, Grandpa, and the cousins. I'm feeling better, but the infection seems to be moving to my chest so I didn't get much sleep as I coughed the night away. Note to self - vicks on my feet tonight.

Journaling:

Q: How long have you been in the family?

A. I have been in this family for 30 years. Looking forward to many more years and special memories.

Q. How did you become a part of this family?

A. I was given to Rose as a baby gift. I was made by her great-grand aunt Esther. I was the warmest of all the blankets she received as an infant.

Q. What makes you so special?

A. I am Blankie, also known as Ba-Ba. When Rose was growing up, I was her security blanket. And when Hannah was born, I was passed down to be a part of Hannah’s life as well.

Q. Are you made from your original parts?

A. No, when Rose found out she was pregnant, she sent me to Aunt Esther to have me remade. The flowers and fruit fabric is part of my orginal design. Aunt Esther was honored to recreate the special blanket she made for Rose as a gift for her new niece, Hannah.

Challenge 4

This is a LO about what I have been trying to tell my 6yo Jeremy since my diagnosis. He isn't dealing with it very well. His grandpa died a few months before I started having problems. His grandpa wasn't sick, he just went into the hospital for a simple procedure and died 3 weeks later. Jeremy has become obsessive about a lot of things as a way to deal with his stress.

Journaling reads: I am so sorry for all of the extra stress you have in your life. Your life, at age 6, should be more free of worry than it is. I’m sorry that you worry about me so much. I want you to know that I will be OK, and so will you.There will be some challenges ahead, but we will get thru them as a family. It is OK to tell me you are worried or scared or angry. I get worried and scared and angry, too. I want you to know that Mommy isn’t going die from MS. I won’t be going to live with Grandpa in Heaven anytime soon.MS will make some things harder for me, but I will still be around to see you grow up. I love you so much Jeremy. You bring joy to me daily.

Challenge #4

Journaling reads: Last year, I went through a lot of soul searching and struggle with my faith vs. the Christian church. I kept a journal and this is what I wrote. Being a Christian - It has taken me at least 15 years to realize that Christianity IS NOT about forcing people to hear the Gospel message and condemning them if they do not listen to it. It isn't all about "winning souls to heaven" or whatever you would like to call it. I think that deep down, I have known this all along, but now, it makes me sad to see many churches preaching only about how Jesus has come to the earth to save us and how the Lord would condemn all the bad or "evil" things in the world. It makes me very sad when I realize that if you really pay attention to the Bible and the story it tells us, Christ came to everyone; He met them where they were at and embraced them. Right now, I really feel like there are a lot of modern day Pharisees, you know, people who are judgmental and condemning, not willing to embrace sinners or even acknowledge them as God's children. Instead they want to throw stones at them, calling them out, and trying to "set them free" from their sins. And here is where the story of Jesus saying, "You who has no sin, cast the first stone." Of course, the Pharisees couldn't do it because they knew they were sinners too. God doesn't look at sins differently...they are all the same...and He loves us still. And then there are the modern day Sadduces who just want to blend in and not cause an uproar. They just agree with everything that is going on. They are apathetic to it all. I now see that to be a Christian means to love everyone. Accept them for who they are and where they are in their lives. All I know is now it is not important to me if someone is churched, unchurched, a believer, non-believer, muslim, jew, etc. All I care about is loving them for who they are and where they are at in their life. I think I'm very hurt by the church as an institution (not the body) because it seems to me the focus is more about numbers and money than anything else. I have a pastor friend who explained it to me like this: “The church at large has become a fake, plastic religiosity that functions more like a country club than a body. It has taken an ‘us vs. them’ mentality that is not illustrative of Christ's interaction with people and it has certainly not the safe place that it is supposed to be.”

Since writing this 1 year ago, my family has found our “home” at The Well. The photo is what our church home looks like. It's not a building. It's a place to come together as One in Christ. And this journaling is the explanation of it's name: "The Well" is a name inspired by Jesus' meeting with a woman as she fills her water jar at a well. This woman had a bad reputation, but Jesus broke down barriers of ethnicity, social status, and gender to gently but honestly address the woman about her life and offer her the freedom that only he can give. The woman went to the well that day to quench her physical thirst, but walked away with the answer to her spiritual thirst.

Bonus Challenge and Challenge #3

I did both my bonus challenge and challenge #3 today. I had actually planned to do a combination of them both for the bonus challenge, but then I read challenge #3 and decided to do them as seperate LO.

This is the bonus challenge LO. I used the February Mega kit from Gotta Pixel for this LO and the font is Mistral.

Here is my challenge #3. The kit I used is Refreshing Meadow by J. Baechtold and the font is Melanie BT.

This 3rd LO was really therapeutic for me. I was diagnosed with MS only 3 months ago and I am still adjusting to the changes it has made in my life. It helps me to think of the blessings I have recieved because of this trial. I am now able to be a SAHM. I have always wanted that more than anything. The other thing that it has allowed me to do, which I did not put in the LO, is that I am now a digital scrapbooking designer. Designing and scrapbooking have really helped me "escape" at times.

Surprise Challenge LO

I've already finished my LO for the surprise challenge at DragonFlaire Studios. This challenge was to scrap part of our everyday life. I have very full weeks because aside from my two children, I also keep a little girl named Petra. Here's a LO I created with a photo of her I took this summer.

I don't know where to post it at NDISB yet so I'm just going to put all the credits here as well.

I created this LO with Backyard Buganza by Karla Marano. This was a quickpage from a blog challenge I participated in where I created a few QPs and in return received an entire album of them :)

Week 1, Challenge 2

Patricia and I have collaborated together and completed our 2nd LO for the race. I must admit, it's pretty awesome!! Having a team name of "Scrappin' Lady Horns" might need a little explanation, so we put together this LO below. Be sure to click on it for full credits.

I'm so excited that we're done for the week. Now I can focus on a little bit of designing and other scrapping and Patricia can focus on getting over her stomach bug!

Week 1 from Patricia

You all have met Rose, so now here is my contribution. My LO is about all 3 of my kids. I love to scrap for them. I felt bad not including my husband, but I have to admit that he is not the reason I scrap. I have some pictures of him, but I take tons of pictures of my kids and they are truely the reason I scrap. My boys love to make silly faces just as I press the button to take the picture. It can be so hard to get a serious picture of them. This is one of the few of all 3 of them together where someone doesn't have thier tongue stuck out or their eyes looking goofy. It actually only took me 2 attempts (and a few threats) to get this photo. It was taken at Christmas when we went to the mall.

This LO was created with the kit Wild Rose by Tracy Gilbert Monnet. The font is fletch. We were to use our favorite color (purple) and use our favorite element 3 times. That part was harder as I don't really have a big favorite, go to, element. I do love flowers and will put flowers on most of my LO, even with all boys in the LO. So, my 3 elements for this one was the 3 roses that came with the kit. Template was from Christy Haig , made for this first challenge, although I altered it quite a bit.

The Amazing Digi Scrap Race Season 3 has finally begun.

Week 1's challenge was a twist on an All About Me Layout.

Here is my LO:

Create a LO using your favorite color and favorite scrappin' inspiration. This LO was really hard for me to scrap because I love to scrap both of my kids. I figure there will be plenty of opportunities to scrap each of them, so my first LO features Hannah. This entire LO was created using Glitzy Girlfriends by RoseMcDigital Designs. Template is by Christy Haig. Fonts is a Custom Signature Font by Darcy Baldwin at BlueFlombingo.com
